POSITION:  School Bus Driver/Small Vehicle Substitute Driver – Deer Trail 26J Schools (part-time)

 

HOURLY RATE RANGE:  starts at $15.39 per hour.  DOE,  Training provided - great opportunity part-time work.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Good driving record required (submit Motor Vehicle Record with application)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
  • Experience working in school setting or with school age children preferred – must like & enjoy elementary-middle and high school students!
  • Experience driving truck bus or operating heavy equipment a plus, however, we will train!

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Assignment starting date is flexible – upon completion of training -
  • Position is bus/vehicle driver during the course of the school year – approx. 2 - 6 hours/day, depending on assignment; additional hours available at times for field trips, activity trips (sports, band, clubs), etc.
  • All contracts/agreements need approval of the Board of Education.
  • Direct deposit is a condition of employment.
  • No smoking is allowed in any DT26J school buildings or on school property.
  • Selected applicant must comply with the District's Drug-Free Workplace policy,
  • of Transportation physical and drug screening
  • As required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), the selected applicant must verify, within 72 hours of employment, his/her legal right to be employed in the United States.
